This is exactly how I’ve felt lately. I’m sorry I haven’t been updating my blog lately, but I don’t like creating “filler posts”. I want you readers to know that when I write something, I mean it. I truly sit here and write how I feel, what I’m going through, and the occasional insight into products or exercise regimens that I am currently doing. I will never post something to get more readers, but I will post to show you what I truly experience.

Lately I can’t give you a new exercise plan; I can’t give you a new diet or fad. I can’t give you this because I am not doing anything new. I am staying consistent.

When you look for things like “How to Get a Better Butt”, “How to Tone Your Legs”, “How to Lose 10 Pounds by Summer”, I doubt any of the results will do much or last longer than a moment. When you live life trying to slack off, and then catch up last minute, a few leg lifts and squats here or there won’t change much. When you dive into a cleanse or detox….does that really change your ENTIRE body in the long run? Will all the supplements and diet pills truly do much?

Maybe today…maybe this week…maybe you’ll lose a few or even more….I do know that you will be wasting a lot of money for nothing.

But does that make you happy?

I used to take Hydroxycut. I took it back in the day when the formula was killing people and I sure lost a lot of weight quickly. I took OxyelitePro, which was a fat burner (and still is), and it made me not want to eat (yay unhealthy!). I have done AdvoCare; I have tried numerous “quick-fixes” to the point where I felt that if I stopped taking it, my life would be over. I felt that it helped me so much, that without it I would turn into fat.

Oh the thoughts we create to sabotage happiness:) I noticed that when I stopped taking the diet pills and supplements, I gained more back than before I started. I also could not go through workouts without feeling exhausted. I craved EVERYTHING IN SIGHT! Food, Chocolate, alcohol you name it.

Today is much different. I told myself that I would push through that weight gain with a clean healthy diet and keep working out until my body naturally lost the fat without a “product”. When you do this, you create something long-term.

We live in an age that we think we will never die. We don’t see that chemicals kill you. We talk about our government trying to suppress us and all these conspiracy theories in our food….which is semi true but then we take supplements and diet pills, we put Splenda and Equal into our coffee? Gross…chemicals everywhere. We say we are healthy…. then Memorial Day weekend comes around and our morals; healthy lifestyle and exercise go out the window! You realize that what you do to yourself is no excuse. You create the body and life you have. You can’t blame others; you have all the tools in front of you to be better.

What I’m saying is that if you want results…IN ANY AREA OF LIFE, you must fully commit yourself. Realize your body is all you have that you have and it’s your biggest investment.

Today I wake up early,

I eat mainly arugula and poached eggs for breakfast,

Greek yogurt and frozen berries for snack,

I eat a huge salad with some sort of protein for lunch;

I have fruit or something small for snack,

and for dinner its usually kale and protein, or some kind of brown rice or something (especially after yoga) and a lot of veggies.

I go to yoga 5-6 times a week (mostly power vinyasa/and 1 bikram style a week)

I run or go to Bassline (which is usually a combination of running/spinning/cranking and weight training) about 3-4 times a week.

I also hike as much as I can.

This is what I do. This is what keeps my body healthy. I also don’t allow unhealthy people in my life anymore. I don’t want the stress anymore. Life is so much better when you live for yourself. Sorry that post was long and I rambled a bit, but if you read it all, thank you. Go do something that makes tomorrow better:)
