I’ve left you humans in the dark. I got back from Hawaii and went on a tailspin of adventures, new experiences and goals without writing about it. It’s safe to say I’ve overbooked my senses since being out of the slammer haha! It feels good to look ahead into my future and see goal-crushing events full-speed ahead!
I signed up for a glacier climbing course. We have the idea to summit Mt. Rainier in July so every month and week until then, we have seminars, field trips and opportunists to enhance our hiking and mountaineering skills to safely hike that rad mountain!
Another thing is I’m officially signed up for Baptiste Level 2 training! Baptiste power yoga is my savior and has been since the moment I first walked in to a Baptiste style class. I went through level 1 training and fell head over heels! But the second I got home I fell back to old ways of living that I never really took care of and wound up with another DUI, low self-esteem and jail time in my future. Well a year and a half has gone by, 3 months of jail, along with a glowing wave of self worth I never had since I was a wee one. So here I am, signed up for level 2 ready to learn to teach some little yoginis but with a stronger mind and stronger body. Something a yoga teacher should obtain before teaching students.
Another thing since Hawaii, I signed up for the Seattle Rock n Roll Marathon!!! Woohoooo my first full marathon! I’m so very excited about it. I figure all this mental running training will help enhance my mountaineering and I have a great friend doing this run as well as rainier training with me!
Last update for the night—CHOOSE MOUNTAINS. I started a mini side business. It’s more of a movement to help spread the word about getting outside to enhance this beautiful life. I’m still in the process of ordering the things I will be selling on the site and it’s taking a little time but I’m working this whole one-step-at-a-time deal. Right now I’m currently just building the foundation and you can follow us on Instagram and tag your mountain shots with the hashtag #choosemountains ❤️ basically we all have a story, you know my story….I replaced my problematic life with a new way of living and that was to get outside and realize how small I am and that when I’m out there, my worries fall away. Whatever we face in life, I want to know what makes YOU choose mountains, I want to know what gets you outside. So the birth of a business begins. A birth of an ex-jailbird begins….a birth of taking goals and desires and being a YES to my life rather than a victim and bystander to mediocracy. Why do you #choosemountains ?
