Ranting about the “Lift-Heavy” Robots

Holy molyyyy did I die? Did I forget I have this lovely blog I’ve been trying to maintain over the last two years? Did I think I had better things to do? Did I have soooo much fun that I just simply didn’t have time to write about it?

I didn’t.
I’ve been lazy about writing. I sometimes feel that I have nothing worthy of writing about. I have been doing the same thing day in and day out these days.
That’s also a lie! The last two weeks I’ve been teaching at my local studio. I’ve been trying to run at least 4 times a week and a couple days ago it was 72 DEGREES here in WASHINGTON STATE. My dad and I took advantage of it and took the paddleboards out! A week ago I also hiked up into the snowy mountains to find these ice caves only to be disappointed that the avalanches covered them….so if you wonder “Where has Tiare been?” that’s where I’ve been.

Every day I want to change the name of my blog. I recent got asked to be interviewed for another blog and I was really happy she had asked me! That will be out on Monday and I’ll link you to her site but when I was looking over the several other interviews she did, it was a lot of pro-fitness models and just ripped-beyond-belief chicks! They are gorgeous and have crazy bodies…..and I read about their training and meal prep and ohhhh I’m already exhausted.

I understand that it’s great to be healthy. I know it’s also the latest craze for women to “lift heavy” and meal prep till you turn into a robot. I get that that is all great…..but I also feel that it’s great to do different things everyday. I think it’s great to TASTE the food you eat and have some fucking ice cream if you want some fucking ice cream.

What is a life if all you care about is making big muscles and having the best rock hard ass? I think it’s great….but in order to keep it up you must really commit to doing that for LIFE….or it all goes back to fat in a snap. I’m being a shitty fitness inspiration right now.

I just believe that we need to all see ourselves as beautiful the way we are….and we need to eat a variety of food that nourishes our body. We need to wake up every morning feeling happy we’re even alive. We need to drink lots of water, have lots of fun with our loved ones and sweat once a day! I mean run, yoga, sex, bike, hike, lift, swim….whatever….but don’t be soooo boring about it. I see people updating their facebook and it goes like this:

“ohhhh leg day-my favorite day”
“its arms and shoulders…;) just to let you know”
“its leg day again…”
“oh no its meal prep day….i hate it but it needs to get done”

and so on….. they do this same little cycle week after week and I wonder deep down if they even enjoy their life. Has it become one big robotic need to look a certain way yet not FEEL anything??? Okay I’ve gone overboard and being super one-sided. I think It’s important to weight train and it’s great for any activity you do…but this blog entry is just aimed at people who ONLY lift and don’t do anything else.

We only have one life……..go on more adventures, be creative with your meal plans, and be happy in the process of taking care of your body.
